Jesus was always showing up and hanging out in unexpected places with unexpected people. He did that last Saturday. He showed up in the home of a lesbian couple in a small town in rural Minnesota. He showed up as a life passed from here to eternity. He showed up in the midst of an unlikely gathering of people. Family members, friends and co-workers, some church goers, some not. He pour His grace out through and to each one there. In the midst of grief and loss a great sense of peace and love filled the house. We cried, we laughed, we hugged, we prayed, we shared stories and then we made brownies and ice cream. And there I was, this conservative born again, spirit-filled Christian in the middle of it. God is doing amazing things in these days.
